Russ Campbellâs Blog: Is National Postâs Tasha Kheiriddin Giving Up on Conservatism?
There is a quoÂtaÂtion from AbraÂham LinÂcoln that ends, â⌠you can never please all of the peoÂple all of the time.â I thought of this when I read Tasha KheiridÂdinâs colÂumn in TuesÂdayâs NaÂtional Post op-ed page.
KheiridÂdin self-deÂscribes as âa life-long small-c conÂserÂvÂaÂtive. I [KheiridÂdin] supÂported the ComÂmon Sense RevÂoÂluÂtion of Mike HarÂris. I [KheiridÂdin] beÂlieve in balÂanced budÂgets, low taxes and value for money. I [KheiridÂdin] like the PCsâ plans for endÂing corÂpoÂrate welÂfare and enÂcourÂagÂing job creÂation.â
She then launches into a haÂrangue of why she âcanât vote for Tim HuÂdakâ in the June 12 OnÂtario genÂeral elecÂtion. CuÂriÂous that, since HuÂdak is the leader of the only small-c conÂserÂvÂaÂtive party runÂning in that elecÂtion.
